Resin Landscapes
I’ve been really enjoying working with resin in my small moments of spare time. Here are the latest shots from this very morning.

I’ve also set up a couple of landscapes with figures. The next Maskwitches book is growing considerably as in addition to a new story scenario, it’s packed with advice from a couple of years of running the game. It’s going to be full of ideas on how to approach constructing and running your Maskwitches stories.

I‘m working with some new 3d printed skulls as well, as you can see above. The three main kinds of animal: Bear, Boar and Bulldog.
Some behind the scenes shots:
To provide some internal lighting for the resin “gems” I laid a small led light in the base of my scenery.

Then using the very high tech material of “some cardboard with a hole in it” I masked it off.

Placing the gem on top, and scattering pine needles and dried leaves on top to bed it in, and we get the inner lighting I wanted. The first few shots in this post show it off.
The resin gems are cast in moulds, and I’m loving making these. I think I’ll be using sets of these as Knap tokens in future games. I might even make some for folks to buy. I think they’re a nice thing to use

Something I noticed this week was that taking my time and adding a lot of smaller details, even to relatively plain landscape sets really brings them to life. Lots of smaller rocks and tiny leaves and particles make a lot of difference in fooling your eye and brain.

I’ll do a post about the new skulls soon. So there’s something to look forward to.
